The Ninth Belt and Road Summit, co-hosted by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was held in Hong Kong from September 11 to 12. Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee, attended and delivered the opening speech. Zheng Yanxiong, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R., was invited to attend the opening ceremony. More than 80 political and business leaders from countries and regions along the Belt and Road initiative, and nearly 6,000 people from over 70 countries and regions participated. Si Xubin, Vice President of the Group Company, attended the forum.

Li Jiachao, Chief Executive of HKSAR, said in his opening speech that the Belt and Road Initiative has entered its next "golden decade," with a strong emphasis on promoting green development and innovation. He highlighted that innovative technology is the focus of Hong Kong's future development and plays a crucial role in Hong Kong's contributions to the co-construction of the Belt and Road initiative. Hong Kong is actively working with cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to drive the development of innovation and technology, combining Hong Kong's robust R&D capabilities with the innovation and advanced manufacturing advantages of other cities, thereby unleashing the potential for new quality productive forces.
