Chinese Ambassador to Angola Zhang Bin Leads a Delegation to China Hyway for Investigation

On July 6, 2024 (local time), Chinese Ambassador to Angola Zhang Bin, Commercial Counselor Lu Yuzhong, Counselor Dai Fengning, and Office Director Li Pu, visited our company. Wei Ruihai, Vice President of the group company; Huang Hai, Vice President; Zhu Xisong, Executive Deputy General Manager of the First Business Division; Zhou Xiaodong, Executive Deputy General Manager of the Seventh Business Division; and Guo Xiaomin, General Manager of Lei Jun-CA Construction, Limited participated in a formal discussion between two sides.

Zhang Bin and his entourage first inspected the security facilities at the base and the working and living environment for the employees.

At the discussion meeting, Wei Ruihai warmly welcomed Zhang Bin and the other leaders, expressing gratitude for the concern and support from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Angola, the ambassadors, and the leaders at various levels. Wei provided a detailed introduction to the company's production and operational situation in Angola, among other matters.

Wei stated that since the company entered Angola in 2007, it had been deeply engaged in the local market and ventured into sectors such as engineering, trade, mining, and ecological agriculture. While ensuring effective operations and management, the company has consistently embraced the philosophy of growing alongside the people of Angola, actively fulfilling its social responsibilities and involving in charitable and public benefit activities. It has provided free training to develop technical talent in the local community and has made every effort to address employment issues for local residents. It has also engaged in charitable donations and donation & support activities over the long term. China Hyway Group Limited always remembers that the friendship between China and Angola is hard-won. Zhang Bin has visited our project site and base multiple times. Zhang stated that compared with those seen during his first visit to China Hyway a decade ago, the company's operation and development as well as its working and living environment had seen significant improvements. As a China-invested private enterprise, China Hyway wields considerable influence in Angola, particularly through the Moçâmedes Railway project and the "Five Stations and One Line" project at the New Luanda International Airport, two of China Hyway's milestone achievements in Angola. The various public benefit activities organized by the company have not only established a positive image for itself but also amplified its positive social impact. Zhang hoped that during its operations in Angola, China Hyway would actively pay attention to the Angolan government's outbound investment policies and requirements, comply with relevant laws and regulations, conduct business in a legal and compliant manner, and contribute to the local economic development.
