K8+718 Bridge on the Danube Corridor Expressway is completed and opened to traffic
The K8+718 Bridge on the Danube Corridor Expressway in Serbia, constructed by the Group Company, has been officially opened to traffic recently after being delivered and put into trial operation on August 16. The bridge consists of a total of 9 spans and is 354.4 meters long. The main bridge over the Morava River is of a 3-span variable cross-section cast-in-place continuous box girder (45m+70m+45m), with a maximum span of 70 meters. It is the longest single-span bridge on the entire Danube Expressway and the most challenging to construct.

The Danube Expressway project is an important branch of the European Route E75 in the European road network, which Serbian President Vučić described as the "road of the future." The K8+718 Bridge constructed by our company is a key milestone of the entire Danube Corridor Project, and its completion will eliminate the traffic bottleneck in the eastern region of Serbia, greatly promoting the economic development of the area.

The river channel where the bridge is located is wide, deep, and fast-flowing. The project team actively mobilized resources and implemented numerous temporary measures to ensure the successful construction of the bridge girder using the scaffolding method. During construction, challenges such as deformation of large-span supports and the mutual effects of various prestressing techniques were also overcome. The project quality and construction efficiency have received high recognition from the Serbian government.

In July 2023, Serbian President Vučić visited the construction site of the Danube Expressway Bridge and Culvert Section 1, a project our company was involved in.
The completion and opening of the K8+718 Bridge on the Danube Expressway not only demonstrates our company's excellent construction management and collaboration capabilities but also serves as another vivid interpretation of China's Belt and Road Initiative.
