Successful completion of project milestone

On October 17, 2024, the construction of the lower surface layer of the Qalbatau-Maikapchagay Section IV in Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the "Qalmai Project"), undertaken by our company, was completed on schedule, achieving full connectivity and successfully meeting the annual milestone target.

The project was mobilized in July 2023. It was officially commenced on August 7 and has undergone 438 days and nights of hard work (including a winter break of 120 days). During the period, Chinese and Kazakh employees, under tight schedules and heavy workload, overcame significant challenges including substantial cultural differences, harsh working conditions, and difficulties in material transportation. Ultimately, through joint efforts, they successfully completed the surface layer connection.

The project is China Hyway's first project in Kazakhstan.

It is an important transportation hub from western Kazakhstan to the Chinese border, and a key project of the Belt and Road Initiative. In the future, it will provide more efficient transportation conditions for trade exchanges between the two countries.
